New pill technology tracks your health

Approved by government on Friday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Keeping track of your health can be tough, especially when we're so busy.

But new technology is hoping to change that with a very little pill.

It's made by a company called Proteus Digital Health, and has a small computer chip inside, about the size of a grain of sand, that can track all kinds of information about your body.

On Friday, the government approved the device.

Once you swallow the pill, which you take with your normal medication, it sends information to your smartphone.

It tracks everything, like your heart rate, blood pressure, and even remind you when to take your medication again.

But there's no word about when it'll be ready in the U.S.
