Bicyclist killed Saturday after being struck by vehicle, troopers say

Officials say crash occurred on Old Winter Garden and Nome Drive

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A cyclist was killed on Saturday in Orlando when he was struck by a vehicle, according to officials from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred on Old Winter Garden and Nome Drive at around 10:20 p.m. According to the crash report, the victim was not in the crosswalk and the driver had a green light. The report states he was not wearing a helmet.

The cyclist was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to officials.
