Possible burglar shot at by used car dealer owner

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A would-be burglar is in the hospital after tangling with a business owner.

It happened early this morning at the Value Line Auto Sales on Robinson street near Old Winter Garden and Mission Roads in West Orange County.

Deputies said the owner and a friend spotted a man breaking into the dealership so they called 911.

After they dialed 911, both the owner and his friend confronted the man inside.

Soon after deputies arrived, they said they heard the sound of gunfire on the car lot.

Paramedics were called to the scene to treat the alleged burglar after he was injured.

Deputies said  they were  not sure if the would-be burglar was actually shot or cut from the glass as he fled out of a window.

He was taken to the hospital deputies said.

The dealership owner says he felt threatened and at this point is not expected to be charged, deputies said.
