Man beaten in robbery at apartment complex

Suspects may have fired shots at victim as he ran away

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County deputies are searching for two "armed and dangerous" suspects after a man was beaten during a robbery.

Deputies say the victim was walking across the parking lot of The Park Apartments on Goldenrod Road early Monday when a man and woman got out of a car. The two then demanded the victim's wallet, according to deputies.

The man complied, but after he handed over his money, investigators say that's when the two hit him several times with their gun.

The victim says he was able to run away, but thinks the two may have fired a shot at him while he was fleeing the area.

The victim was taken to a hospital but is expected to recover.

Deputies say the two suspects were driving a small red car and should be considered "armed and dangerous."

Anyone with information should contact the sheriff's office or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
