3 nabbed in Osceola County theme park ticket scheme bust

Deputies confiscate 300 tickets, $4K

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives said they recovered hundreds of multi-park tickets and thousands of dollars in cash after the arrest of three suspects Thursday.

According to the Osceola County Sheriff's office Joseph Trerrotola, Maureen McHale and Jason Cordero were conducting a multi-day ticket resale operation at a ticket booth on US Highway 192 and a small shop off of State Road 535.

The sheriff's office tourist policing unit caught the three during an undercover ticketing operation. They have been charged with a misdemeanor, but deputies said the owners of the establishments aren't going to be charged.

In all, deputies took back almost 300 tickets and $4,000 profits.
