KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Kissimmee police said 32-year-old Jeanette Leigh Paolillo was found fatally stabbed in the corridor between buildings at Pinewood Park Apartments.
Her boyfriend, Marco Didonna, 26, called 911 and admitted to stabbing her.
This is the third deadly domestic incident in Central Florida in two months. In fact, one in four women experience domestic violence. Across the nation, 4,000 women die each year at the hands of their partner.
Harbor House President Carol Wick said usually something happens like this happens when the victim tries to leave or files a restraining order, and the abuser snaps.
In this case, Kissimmee police said no restraining order was ever filed. At this time detectives don't have a motive, and said Dimarco is not cooperating.
Paolillo's roommate was home when the stabbing occurred but said he did not hear anything outside their apartment.
