Deputies said Scott and Widdows were associated with Matthew Tutt, who is the suspect who shot two Polk County deputies in June 2010.

Deputies said at the time Tutt was killed by one of the wounded deputies during the shooting.

Through follow-up investigation, detectives and U.S. Marshals Task Force members received information that Widdows may be at a residence on Shelby Brook Drive in Plant City.  Task Force members responded to the residence, and located Widdows and Scott inside. They were both taken into custody without incident, officials said.

Deputies said both men were taken to the Polk County Jail where Widdows had been taken on at least four different occasions and Scott had been arrested at least five times before.
