Rubio's PAC giving water bottles to donors

Sales come after Senator's sip of water during speech

Headline Goes Here

MIAMI - Days after his now-infamous sip of water, Senator Marco Rubio is using the moment to make money for his political action committee.

According to the web site for his "Reclaim America PAC," people who donate at least $25 will be sent a special "Rubio Water Bottle." The web site says donors can show "that not only does Marco Rubio inspire...he hydrates, too."

The Senator also asked his twitter followers if they wanted to "quench [their] thirst for conservative leadership" by ordering a bottle.

Rubio is looking to capitalize off a moment from his response to President Obama's State of the Union speech on Tuesday.

During his speech, Rubio reached off-camera to grab a small water bottle. Keeping his eyes fixed on the camera, the Senator took a quick sip of water before putting the bottle back down and continuing his speech.

The moment immediately went viral on social media web sites like Twitter and Facebook. Even the Senator got in on the fun, tweeting a picture of the empty Poland Springs water bottle shortly after the speech.

Rubio continued to tweet about the moment, saying he picked up more than 13,000 new followers and would "start drinking water in the middle of all of [his] speeches."

When asked if he was nervous, Senator Rubio told CBS This Morning he was just tired after a long day of preparing for the speech and giving his response in both English and Spanish.

"I'm glad the water was nearby," Rubio told CBS This Morning. "I don't know what I would have done without it."

Several late night talk show hosts mocked Rubio the following night, including David Letterman, who awkwardly reached for a bottle of Jack Daniels and took a sip during Wednesday night's show.
