Duo makes off with $1K worth of merchandise from Victoria's Secret

Police looking into connection with prior incident involving 75 bras, panties

SANFORD, Fla. – The man and woman stole about $1,000 worth of stuff from the Victoria's Secret at Seminole Towne Center in Sanford, according to the incident report.

"All of the items on the floor, the main floor, those are the items they had taken," said Ronny Neal with Sanford Police.

The burglars swipe the lingerie right off the shelves of Victoria's Secret. In total, 20 bras worth around $1,040.

"That's a lot of money worth in merchandise for somebody to think they can just walk in and take," said mother Courtney Milroy.

She says they are just bras, so she wonders what the thieves plan to do with them.

A big clue came from Facebook, the Sanford police report states just before the two crooks went in to steal the bras, the woman wrote going "shopping" to "Victoria's Secret", "place your orders."

Lilliana, who works at the mall, said, "I think people need to watch because right now with Facebook, a lot of people, a lot of things going on."

"Even not just with this case, but they go online and they sell them and sometimes they do it locally within communities and that's how we catch them," Neal said.

Sanford police haven't found the crooks yet, but investigators also want to know if they are behind another incident where a thief made off with 75 bras and panties at the same store.

Employees say they've seen the two before and that is actually how they found one of their Facebook pages under a street name.

"I think that's pretty bold of people to walk into a store and take whatever they think they deserve," Neal said.

There is no surveillance video of the incident. When investigators looked for the Facebook page, they were not able to find it.
