Police: Attempted robbery suspect shot, killed

Victim shoots, kills robber at ATM

FERK PARK, Fla. – A man was shot and killed after attempting to rob a man at an ATM in Seminole County, according to authorities.

Justin Slivinski was 24-year-old, deputies said.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said it happened shortly after 10 p.m. Friday at the Fairwinds Credit Union located at 134 Fernwood Boulevard.

Deputies said at approximately 10:20 p.m., they received a report that a man using the drive-though ATM in his vehicle was approached by two men who were armed with knives. 

The victim was armed with a handgun and shot one of the suspects, later identified as Slivinski, during the attempted robbery, deputies said.

Authorities said Slivinski was taken to Florida Hospital at Altamonte, where he was pronounced dead.

The attempted robbery victim was not injured, deputies said.

Deputies said they arrested 19-year-old Austin Harvey after they received a tip about his involvement with the robbery.

Harvey was booked into the Seminole County Jail, authorities said.
