Video: Culprits crash stolen truck into Oviedo pharmacy

Deputies say nothing stolen from store

ORLANDO, Fla. - Seminole County deputies say two burglars smashed a stolen truck into the front doors of an Oviedo CVS convenience store early Friday morning--but didn't steal anything.

Surveillance footage shows a white passenger van and a white Ford F250 pickup truck in the parking lot of an Oviedo CVS on Red Bug Lake Road around 2:45 a.m. The van then backed into the front of the convenience store, smashing through the front doors, and two masked culprits ran into the store.

According to police, the suspects then left the store in the van just seconds after entering and leaving the truck behind. Investigators believe the pair intended to remove the ATM machine, which was damaged during the incident.

Seminole County deputies report that the truck was recently reported stolen out of Winter Garden. It has since been processed for evidence and returned to the owner.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to call CrimeLine at 1-800-423-TIPS or the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at (407) 665-6650.
