COLEMAN, Fla. – The Sumter County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying three people.
Officials said three males wearing black masks approached the front door to the Shell gas station at 101 East Warm Springs Ave. in Coleman around 9 p.m. Friday.
One of the males brandished a black semi-automatic handgun outside of the store, officials said. He then concealed the handgun once the store clerk exited the store.
Officials said when the other two males fled from the area of the store on foot, the other male entered the store before exiting quickly, also leaving the area on foot.
The trio is described by the Sheriff's Office as three black males who are possibly in their teens. Officials said the male who brandished the handgun wore a dark T-shirt, denim shorts and blue-and-white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information regarding their identities is asked to call Detective Brent Sargent of the Sumter County Sheriff's Office at 352-793-2621 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477). Officials said to reference case No. 5127.
