Suspect sought after Apopka police patrol car shot multiple times

Surveillance video shows armed suspect outside 7-Eleven

APOPKA, Fla. – Police are searching for the suspect who they say shot an Apopka patrol car multiple times early Sunday morning.

According to investigators, the shooting happened around 4 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on East Semoran Boulevard.

Police say surveillance video showed the suspect armed with a shotgun walking around the convenience store. Moments later, investigators say an officer with the Apopka Police Department pulled up to parking lot in his patrol car and walked into the store.

During that time, investigators say the suspect shot at the unoccupied patrol car and fled the scene.

Police have surveillance video and are working to release it when available.
