ORANGE CITY, Fla. - The Volusia County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday released video of a gunman who was caught on camera holding up an electronic cigarette store near Orange City.

Photos of the gunman and his getaway vehicle were made available last week by authorities who hope to catch the man, described as 50 to 60 years old with light-colored hair.

During the armed robbery, the man wore khaki pants, a dark-colored zip-up hooded sweatshirt, a gray undershirt, glasses and a baseball hat and concealed his face with a rag, deputies said. The man is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium build, according to a news release.

The vehicle that he used appears to be a late-model SUV with dark tint, either a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV, deputies said.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt in the robbery, which was reported shortly before 4 p.m. Friday at the E-Cig Source on North Volusia Avenue.

Only one employee was in the store when the lone gunman entered. No customers were shopping at the time. The man entered the shop, pointed a gun at the worker and demanded money, deputies said.

The man stole cash from the drawer before walking away and then driving off in the vehicle, deputies said.
