Car fire shuts down one lane of Interstate 4

Beach bound traffic slow after car fire

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – One lane of eastbound Interstate 4 is shut down after a car caught on fire Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to a report of a car fire around 9 a.m. Saturday at mile marker 110 near Saxon Boulevard.

Firefighters arrived on scene and found the car was fully engulfed in flames.

Everyone was able to escape the car with no injuries, firefighters said.

One lane of eastbound Interstate 4 is blocked for firefighters to work and traffic is moving slowly in the area.
