Cops: Fla. man arrested for 'elaborate grow operation'

House contained 167 plants, nearly 28 lbs. of pot, police say

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – A Port Orange man was arrested Wednesday for running a grow operation in his house according to police.

Police say 50-year-old Myron Jones' house contained 167 plants and nearly 28 pounds of marijuana when detectives entered. Jones has been charged with cultivation of marijuana, trafficking and possession of paraphernalia.

Jones was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail with a bond of $28,000.
