Parking fees reinstated at Volusia County beaches

$5 parking charge runs through November

VOLUSIA COUNTY., Fla. - Don't be surprised if you have to pay to park at the beach in Volusia County.

The county is now collecting about $5 a day for parking--just in time for season.

The annual custom started up on Feb. 1, and it'll last through November.

You now have to pay to park along 17 miles of the 50-mile coastline of Volusia County.

You can also buy an annual parking pass, which costs $20 for Volusia County residents and $40 for everyone else.
