DELTONA, Fla. - A 13-year-old has a pellet lodged in his face after a drive-by shooting in Deltona.

Tyler Bickford was walking home from Deltona Middle School Tuesday night when he says someone inside a white SUV started shooting at him with a pellet gun while driving by.

Bickford was hit right above his left eye. His mother tells Local 6 the pellet is still lodged inside of his head. Doctors are planning a surgery next week to try to have it removed.

The teen says there were three women and one man in the SUV but all of their faces were covered by shirts.

The SUV was last seen heading south on Enterprise Road near DeBary Avenue.
