VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The cost to drive on the beach in Volusia County could soon increase.

County commissioners decided to OK increasing the beach access fees after hearing from residents and weighing all the options.
The increase doubles the price of a day pass for beach tolls from $5 to $10.
Annual passes would also increase from $20 to $25.
This is the first increase in beach parking since 1993.
