Weekend bash marks city's 125 years

Fireworks, time capsule dedication planned

NEW SMRYNA BEACH, Fla. – New Smyrna Beach is celebrating 125 years with a big weekend bash.

City leaders have three days of fun filled with food trucks, fireworks & family games scheduled Friday-Sunday.

The city invites you to join in it's celebration, honoring the city's past, celebrating its present and embracing its future.

A time capsule/sculpture dedication is planned for Friday at 5:30 p.m. in front of city hall followed by a reception.

Most of the weekend activities will be held Saturday at Riverside Park from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and will include a fishing tournament, arts and crafts,  live concert, and street dance.
