Westbound I-4 reopens after accidents

Rollover crash shuts down westbound lanes for 3 hours

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of an accident that had shut down westbound lanes of Interstate 4 in Volusia County for about three hours on Sunday.

Troopers said a car rolled over in the westbound lanes of Interstate 4, forcing firefighters to shut down all lanes near Graves Road.

Firefighters said one person was transported to Halifax Medical Center with traumatic injuries.

All westbound lanes were shut down and another accident on eastbound lanes had the road shut down for a bit.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said there were several other accidents in the area because of the first accident, all of which are being investigated.
