OAK HILL, Fla. - Authorities say they have found the boaters reported missing in Volusia County, along with the body of the missing commercial fisherman in Osceola County on Tuesday afternoon.

The commercial fisherman, identified as William Louis Platt, was found floating in Lake Marian by FWC officers and Osceola County deputies Tuesday afternoon.

Sometime prior to 11 p.m. Monday, Platt was setting trot lines to catch catfish when apparently the lines became entangled in the outboard motor of Platt's 1983, 16-foot fishing skiff.  It appears he somehow fell overboard while trying to untangle the nylon line, FWC said.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, authorities found the missing Volusia County boaters safe on Tuesday afternoon after a boater called in at around 12 p.m. to say he and some companions were stranded at an unknown location in the Intercoastal Waterway.

Local 6 news helicopter Sky 6 flew over the scene as the two Volusia County boaters waded through water to authorities because the water was too shallow for rescuers to approach them.
