ORLANDO, Fla. - George Zimmerman is teaming up with the owner of the "Muslim-free" gun store to offer signed and numbered prints of a Confederate flag painting.
Andy Hallinan, owner of Florida Gun Supply in Inverness, made headlines on July 17 when he posted a video on YouTube, saying "I will not arm and train those who wish to do harm to my fellow patriots." Hallinan is now being sued by The Council on American-Islamic Relations Florida as a result.
According to the Florida Gun Supply website, "This painting was painted in honor of Andy Hallinan for being a true patriot and leading the country into a better, safer America."
The painting started as an American flag, but Zimmerman decided to repaint it with a Confederate flag when he heard of the lawsuit, the website states.
The proceeds will be split between Hallinan and Zimmerman to support their legal funds, living expenses and "advancing their mission to change the country."
Zimmerman was acquitted two years ago in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. That case sparked protests and a national debate about race relations.
