GM announces 6 recalls

General Motors announced six new recalls on Monday involving 7.6 million vehicles in the U.S., according to the company's website.

The recalled vehicles are from the 1997 to 2014 model years. The model years are available on GM's website.

In the release, GM said it was "aware of seven crashes, eight injuries and three fatalities" among the vehicles included in the new round of recalls. The fatal crashes were in older-model, full-sized sedans.

"We have worked aggressively to identify and address the major outstanding issues that could impact the safety of our customers," Barra said. "If any other issues come to our attention, we will act appropriately and without hesitation."
