COCOA, Fla. - A puppy that was found with three broken legs lying in the middle of the street in Cocoa in April is up for adoption.

Chance, a white and brindle Boxer/Hound mix, was found lying on Michigan Avenue in Cocoa at 13 weeks old in April, according to Central Brevard Humane Society. After four surgeries to repair his injuries, Chance is ready to adopt at 7 months old.

During his procedures, Purrs and Whiskers Shelter, Inc. provided a foster family for Chance while he recovered from his injuries, and helped to raise money for his care and treatment, humane society officials say.
