Investigators in Winter Garden are looking for a pair of suspects who were caught on surveillance camera during a home invasion earlier Wednesday morning.

"The suspects entered the home, one had a gun," a detective at the scene said. "The started pointing it at the people in the house."

A surveillance camera from a nearby home shows the moments leading up to the home invasion, where the suspects' car can be seen driving back and forth a couple of times around 3 a.m., before pulling up a third time, and letting two men out.

Detectives say the two men were armed with masks on when they entered the home belonging to a quadriplegic The man was asleep on his bed, when the suspects came in and tied up the man's adult nephew.  The nephew's son, and a home health care worker were locked in a bathroom.

Detectives say the men did not force their way into the home, but they did demand money and stole other unspecified items.

"That's scary and surprising," said a neighbor who pointed out that the home is the only home on the block with a fence and a front gate. "They also have two large dogs!" she added.

The neighbor also said a number of the health care staff had access to the front gate code and would come and go at all times of the day.

"I bet it was an inside job," she said.

Detectives say they are looking into that possibility. Adding to the speculation, a look at the surveillance footage shows about 34 minutes passed from the time the two suspects were dropped off, to when they were picked up, suggesting they were not in a rush once inside.

"It seems like they knew what they were doing, and where they were going, and what they wanted," officials said.
