ORLANDO, Fla. - Attorney Jose Baez says he is no longer representing Casey Anthony, whose murder trial last summer made Baez one of the best known criminal defense lawyers in the nation.

In a statement released Wednesday, Baez says he removed himself from the Anthony case, citing he must attend to the needs of his other clients.

Since Anthony was acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee last July, Baez has since represented client Gary Giordano, an American businessman suspected in the disappearance and presumed death of an American woman he was traveling with in Aruba.

Baez has also been giving speeches and offering television commentary.

Baez says Anthony is not fielding offers to sell her story. Anthony is currently serving probation on check fraud charges, unrelated to her murder trial.
