Kissimmee man dies in fiery Osceola County crash, troopers say

FHP: Man slammed into traffic signal, tree

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A 65-year-old man died early Sunday in a fiery crash in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Gregory Dobbins, of Kissimmee, was driving a Mercury E430 south on Ham Brown Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Reaves Road.

After continuing through the intersection, Dobbins veered off the road, hit a traffic signal and slammed into a tree, troopers said.

After colliding with the tree, the vehicle burst into flames, the Highway Patrol said.

Dobbins was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the crash report.

Troopers said the crash was still being investigated.
