Kissimmee man stole $500 worth of Kmart bedsheets, threatened officer, police say

Cops say man was pushing shopping cart with sheets out of parking lot

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - A Kissimmee man has be arrested by police after they say he stole more than $500 worth of bedsheets from Kmart and threatened to kill the officer who caught him.

Larry  Watson, 56, was attempting to push a shopping cart containing of $545 worth of bedsheets through the parking lot of the Kmart on West Vine Street  when the officer approached him, according to the report.

Police said Watson then told the officer the was trying to sell the packages of bedsheets because his wife bought the wrong size and told him to sell them.

Kissimmee police responded and arrested Watson, but during the arrest, Watson threatened to stab the officer in the heart and kill him the next time he sees the officer, according to the report.

Watson has been taken to the Osceola County jail on $2,000 bond after being charged with retail theft and threats to a public servant.
