Kitten rescued from wall of Titusville home

Family who lives in home plans to adopt kitten

TITUSVILLE, Fla – Firefighters don't always rescue kittens from trees. Sometimes they have to save them from the walls of people's homes.

That's what happened on Friday morning when Titusville firefighters received a call from a family saying they were hearing what sounded like a kitten inside their wall.

After calling multiple agencies for assistance without any luck, the family was relieved to see the Titusville firefighters arrive at their home.

Firefighters found a small hole in the rear of the house, and when they shined a flashlight inside, they spotted the kitten about two feet down.

The rescue team worked for 45 minutes, being careful not to allow pieces of the wall to fall onto the kitten or damage the wall, but they were finally able to grab the kitten out of the hole.

The family who lives in the home took the kitten to their local SPCA to have it evaluated. They plan on bringing the kitten inside the walls of their home again, but this time by adopting it.
