Lake Mary police release last known recording of missing woman

Yessenia Suarez, her 2 children went missing in October

LAKE MARY, Fla. - Lake Mary police have released the last known recording of 28-year-old Yessenia Suarez before she and her two children went missing in October.

In the dashcam video, Suarez talks to officers at her job after Luis Toledo stopped by to confront her about text messages he found on her phone.

"We've been having problems and I don't want to be with him," Suarez told officers. "I said last weekend I didn't want to be with him and he's been harassing me."

In the recording, Suarez describes in detail how Toledo kept track of where she was at all times.

"He put spyware on my phone so he can see everything I do from it: personal and professional business stuff, too," Suarez said. "He's claiming I'm having a relationship with one of my co-workers, so he went crazy."

That's when Suarez said her husband hit her in the jaw.

"He hit me here, right here. Literally, he slapped me on my face," she said.

The next day Suarez and her two children, Thalia and Michael, were reported missing after Suarez's mother couldn't reach her and the kids didn't show up for school. Deputies said that Toledo admitted to killing his wife, hitting her in throat after an argument about their troubled marriage.

An extensive search followed for the bodies of Suarez and her two children, but investigators haven't found any remains.

Toledo denies killing Suarez's two children and won't tell investigators where Suarez is.

Even so prosecutors have moved forward, charging Toledo with first-degree murder in their deaths.
