Latina Hollywood stars headline early voting rally ahead of Election Day

Gina Rodriguez, Eva Longoria, Rosario Dawson speak at rally

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Latina Hollywood stars made their way to Central Florida ahead of Tuesday's midterm election as a final push to get Latino voters to cast their ballots.

The Latino Victory Fund hosted a rally Sunday morning in Kissimmee. The rally focused on getting Floridians to the polls and encouraging them to vote for the Democratic ticket.

"This election is so important for us because our lives, our families, our futures are on the line," rally attendee Robin Santana said.

The voices behind the message included famous Latina Hollywood stars Eva Longoria, Gina Rodriguez, Rosario Dawson, America Ferrera and Zoe Saldana.

"We Latinos are under attack and the only weapon right now that we have is our vote," Longoria said.

The stars said Latinos need to make their voices heard and encouraged them not only to vote but also to knock on doors and make phone calls. They said now is the time to take action.

"What's at stake is plain and simply everything. Everything is at stake," Ferrera said.

The rally focused on health care, immigration and education. The actresses pushed the Democratic agenda and encouraged Latino voters to elect leaders who will represent their needs.

"We are decent people that work. We take care of our elderly. We take care of our children. We take care of our communities, and we love America. It is about time that we invested in candidates that love us back," Saldana said.

Early voting ends on Sunday. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
