Christmas Creep Disney Style

Still polishing off that Halloween candy? Well get ready for Eggnog and Fruitcake!
Forget Thanksgiving. Fun Fact: Last Friday (Nov 1)  marked the final "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party."  THIS Friday (Nov 8) marks the very first "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party." And if you were looking to get your Yule on -- your out of luck. Friday is already sold out. Disney says it will run select nights from November 8-December 20.
 Main Street is ready.

Yes. I'm not kidding. 90% of Disney's Main Street decor was put up early this week,  literally as they were hauling out the scarecrows and pumpkins. The Christmas tree won't be in place until after the taping of the annual Christmas Parade for ABC (December 6-8)

The big new thing at the Magic Kingdom this year is the "Jingle Cruise" -- holiday themed props and jokes added to the classic boat attraction.
Disney sent out these pictures to us today as they get ready for its debut on Friday.

2013 will be the first time the overlay has been done. It's a nice touch, but A FAR cry from the late, lamented "Country Bear Christmas Special  last seen in 2005,

or  "Haunted Mansion Holiday" at Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland.

Still -- it is nice to see New Fantasyland getting into the Holiday spirit -- with a tree in Be Our Guest restaurant that pays tribute to a really dreadful Direct-to-video-sequel to Beauty and the Beast.

Disney's Animal Kingdom & Hollywood Studios also kicks off the Holidays Friday -- with the return of the Mickey's Jingle Jungle parade and the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights.

Epcot's "Holidays Around the World" complete with "Candlelight Processional" will wait for the traditional day after Thanksgiving to kick off (November 29).

SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration starts a few days earlier on November 23.

Universal's Grinchmas at Islands of Adventure and Macy's Parade at Universal Studios return on December 7.
 Yes. Manheim Steamroller will hold holiday concerts there on December 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, & 22

Happy Holidays!!
