ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Isleworth millionaire accused of killing his wife will not get out of jail while he awaits a new trial.
A judge on Thursday denied bond for Bob Ward.
Ward was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of his wife in 2011, but his conviction and 30-year sentence were overturned in February.
An appeals court agreed that Ward's attorneys should have objected when prosecutors showed video of Ward refusing to talk to police, noting that he had a constitutional right to remain silent.
A date has not been set for the new trial.
