ORLANDO, Fla. – A Davenport man who babysat children for “the past several years” allegedly confessed to Orlando police last week that he sexually battered four girls and now faces multiple child sex charges, according to the department.
Timothy Bernard Cooper, 39, was arrested Jan. 3 in Polk County by regional deputies, U.S. Marshals and the Orlando Police Department’s Fugitive Investigative Unit. Cooper’s arrest warrant stated that he was wanted on charges of capital sexual battery, possession of child pornography and multiple counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and conduct, police said Thursday on Twitter.

Investigations led law enforcement to identify Cooper and interview four girls in reference to the alleged crimes, police said. According to the tweet, Cooper “fully confessed” to the incidents when questioned by OPD’s Special Victims Unit about them.
Police added that Cooper may have had more victims given the length of time he babysat children at his home.
