DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A year after a naked man was found dead on the roof of the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach, an arrest was made on Monday.

In November of 2012, a maintenance worker at the auditorium found the body of 29-year-old Dylan Tharp. He told police about a burglary a month earlier where the suspects entered through the roof. Tharp died of blunt force trauma, according to police reports.

Jeremy Maruska, 21, was arrested on Monday for Tharp's murder after DNA evidence and testimony from a confidential informant linked Maruska to the murder.

In a statement to police, Maruska admitted that he and another had been drinking alcohol on the roof with Tharp when they began beating him, believing him to be an undercover cop or informant. Tharp was neither.

Maruska is being charged with second-degree murder.
