LAKE MARY, Fla. – Two Central Florida brothers will launch a new app on Tuesday designed to prevent teenagers from texting while driving.
Txt Shield was created by Geoff and Phil Stiles at their Lake Mary offices. The app gives parents control over the restrictions inside the car.

Txt Shield sends an automatic reply to any incoming text messages based on the speed of the car. Parents can choose to activate the app when the car is going anywhere from 10-40 mph.

Parents can choose a preset auto-reply or create a custom message.
The app can also send alerts to parents if their child tries to uninstall the app or disable GPS tracking on the phone.
Txt Shield will be launched in two versions -- Lite and Gold.
The Lite version is $1.99, but limits parents to choosing the 10 mph limit and doesn't alert parents if the app is uninstalled or altered.
The Gold version costs $3.99.
