Fire destroys Daytona Beach home

Investigators trying to figure out cause of fire

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The State Fire Marshal's Office is at a home in Daytona Beach trying to figure out the cause after a fire completely destroyed the house.

Daytona Beach firefighters said they were called to the home on Kilgore Street and LPGA Boulevard around 4 a.m. Saturday.

Firefighters said when they got there, flames were shooting out of the roof of the home.

Neighbors told Local 6 they heard explosions coming from the home which were possibly caused by ammunition exploding inside.

Firefighters said no one was home and there were no injuries, but the home is a total loss.
