Fire destroys Deltona home

No one home at time of blaze

DELTONA, Fla. - A fire destroyed a home in Deltona early Monday, but no one was injured.

The blaze broke out around 4:45 a.m. a house in the 2300 block of Kerridale Street.

Officials said no one was home at the time of the blaze, which sent flames through the roof and garage.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The homeowner returned home later, and fire officials were interviewing her about the incident.
