TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A North Brevard woman died Sunday after being stabbed in the chest, and an Indian River County man was arrested in her death, according to Local 6 News partner Florida Today.

Police spokesman Sgt. Tom House said Mykeba D. Clark, 44, died at Holmes Regional Medical Center after being airlifted from Bay Towers, 2825 S. Washington Ave., Titusville.  Clark resided on the second floor of the condominium complex.

Leon Foster, 42, of Indian River County was booked into Brevard County Jail on charges of homicide, kidnapping and armed burglary, House said.

House said a caller to 911 reported what "sounded like two people arguing, glass breaking and skin being hit."

When police arrived at the complex just after 2:30 p.m., House said, they located a man and woman on the north side of the buildings in the parking lot's sidewalk area.

Foster was on top of Clark, House said, "stabbing her in the chest multiple times with a knife."

Police used a stun gun to get Foster under control, House said.

House said Foster, who had placed a ladder by the building to look into Clark's home, gained entry through the sliding glass door at the residence's rear entrance.  He then took her to the parking lot where she was attacked.

Foster, a former corrections officer with the Indian River County sheriff's department, was fired in 1992 "for a similar act" and had recently been employed as an electrician, House said.

Foster and Clark had been or were boyfriend and girlfriend at the time of the attack, police said.
