Brevard County Fire Rescue said the accident occurred on Indigo Crossing Drive in Viera around 4:45 a.m. Sunday.

Richard Lucas, 26, hit at least 6 other vehicles parked in driveways, police say. After hitting the final car, the minivan rolled over and crashing into a house. The people inside the home escaped out the back of the house without injury, BCFR said.

Officers said, the driver had to be extricated from the minivan and was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Power and cable was knocked out in the immediate area and the rear portion of the home can be occupied. BCFR shored up the front of part of the home that had collapsed, according to BCFR.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. It has not be determined if alcohol was involved. Charges are pending
