Man holds gun to woman's head at Daytona Beach bank, steals store deposit

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Daytona Beach police released surveillance pictures of the man who officers say held a gun to a woman's head and stole the cash deposit of her employer.

The robbery happened Wednesday just before 10 p.m. at the Wells Fargo at 1302 West International Speedway Blvd.

The woman says she drove up to the deposit box to drop off the $240 deposit for Claire's-Volusia Mall, where she worked.

Officers tell Local 6 a man walked up to the driver's side door, held a revolver to the woman's head, grabbed the deposit bag and left. The woman says the suspect didn't say a word.

The woman says she screamed and sped away. She drove to a nearby Denny's where police found her "shaken" and "crying."

The following day, officers were able to obtain a surveillance image of the moment when the robbery happened.
