SAN ANTONIO - A San Antonio man helped a goldfish with a bladder disease by building it a custom "wheelchair."

UPI reports a customer brought his fish that suffers from swim bladder disease to a local aquarium and an employee, named Derek, made the device, which helps the fish remain upright.

Derek's friend, Taylor Dean, tweeted a photo of the fish and a text message from Derek explaining the invention.

"Wasn't able to hold himself up right and was stuck on the bottom. Not anymore! Thought you would get a kick out of it," Derek wrote.

The "wheelchair" is made from airline tubing, Styrofoam and weights.

The story has gone viral and been reported by several media outlets, including some overseas.
