APOPKA, Fla. - Workers say a man wearing only socks was taken into custody after he walked into an Apopka convenience store early Wednesday.

Police were called to the 7-Eleven, located at 2229 East Semoran Boulevard, when the two clerks inside noticed the man was not wearing clothing.

Temperatures were in the mid 30s with wind chills near freezing when the man entered the convenience store around 3 a.m.

Once police arrived on scene, the man was covered in a black plastic bag and transported to a nearby hospital.

It was not immediately known why the man was naked at the time.  Police failed to locate any clothing nearby.
