Lockout forces league to cut preseason games

ORLANDO, Fla. – The NHL canceled the preseason game at the Amway Center scheduled for late September due to the league's ongoing lockout.

The league announced on Tuesday it was canceling all preseason games through September 30 due to the lockout.

The Tampa Bay Lightning were scheduled to play a preseason game against the Carolina Hurricanes on September 27 at the Amway Center.

According to a statement from Lightning team representatives, season ticket and partial-game plan holders will be given refunds through the team's "Loyalty and Rewards Program."

Fans who bought single tickets to the preseason game can get refunds from the company through which they originally purchased the tickets.
