2 arrested in fatal Whiskey River Lounge shooting

Donald J. Henry Jr., 23, Tavaris Jerome Bentley, 24, arrested Wednesday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two men were arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of a 19-year-old man and the attempt to run over an off-duty officer Saturday at Whiskey River Lounge on Orange Blossom Trail.

Donald J. Henry Jr., 23, and Tavaris Jerome Bentley, 24, were located by the Orlando Police Fugitive Unit at the Heritage Park Inn in Kissimmee.

When the off-duty officer came out of the bar, he was alerted of the man that was shot in the parking lot.

According to police, Bentley allegedly tried to run over the officer. The officer avoided the car, drew his weapon and fired at the vehicle.

As Bentley fled, Henry allegedly jumped out of the car and escaped on foot.

Investigators eventually found the car unoccupied near John Young Parkway and Orange Center Boulevard. Police found guns inside the car.

The 19-year-old who was shot, Thomas McCrimon Jr., died at the hospital from his wounds.

Henry is charged with first-degree murder.

Bentley is charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and aggravated fleeing and eluding
