ORLANDO, Fla. – Two tractor-trailer crashes in Orange County Wednesday morning had Interstate 4 traffic backed up for miles.
The crash occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on I-4 westbound near the Fairbanks curve at exit 87. Traffic was backed up starting at Lee Road on I-4 westbound for about three miles.
According to FHP, a driver cut in front of the tractor-trailer, causing the tractor-trailer driver to swerve and hit a concrete wall. There was no damage done to the median, but the truck caused a minor diesel fuel spill, troopers said. There were no injuries reported.
A second crash happened with a tractor-trailer hours before in the same location. At least two lanes were blocked Wednesday morning starting at 3:30 a.m. The scene was cleared about an hour before the second crash.
Florida Highway Patrol listed the crash as "major" but there were no injuries.
