ORLANDO, Fla. – There's a new push in Orange County that community leaders think will keep you safer.
They say they'll install 40 more red light cameras by late this year at some of the most dangerous intersections.
Right now, there are 10 cameras throughout the county which catch speeders and red light runners. In addition to the 40 cameras expected by the end of 2012, another 40 are also tentatively planned for the middle of 2013 or early 2014.
When you run a red light, you're fined about $158. Since early last year, the county says it's collected more than $2 million in fines.
