ORLANDO, Fla. – A 5k run/walk at UCF on Sunday will raise money for pancreatic cancer research.
The 6th Annual PurpleStride Central Florida 5k is presented by the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute.

Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the United States.
Organizers expect 1000 participants at the race and nearly $100,000 has been raised to date.
PurpleStride Central Florida is among 50 PurpleStride events that take place around the United States which contribute millions of dollars toward the mission of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to advance research, support patients and create hope.
