Some 22, 000 regional "wireline" technicians and staff are impacted by the contract .

Locally, 1,300 CWA union members in Orange County are tied to the pact.

Union members have expressed concern over alleged "gutting" of health benefits.

The CWA has announced a short "peaceful rally" outside of the company's Orlando regional office between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. Thursday.
